Frequently Asked Questions about Don’t Go We Will fund Them (DGWWFT) can be found on this page. Can’t find an answer to your question? Find our contact info on the ‘About’ page.
How can I support?
The best way to support DGWWFT’s goals is through a monthly donation. This creates structural, ongoing support for the trans community. Our monthly donations are processed through Donorbox, which offers several payment methods such as iDeal/Wero, Bancontact, PayPal, Revolut, and more. Donorbox is a trusted platform which is safe to use, and reduces administration costs on our end, so as much of the money donated as possible can go to crowdfunding campaigns.
Another good way to support is by spreading the word! Each small donation adds up to a big support, so the more people we have on board, the more powerful our support can be.
Lastly, if you want to organise a fundraiser event or other one-off fundraiser, please get in touch with us. Our contact details are on the ‘About’ page.
I (or my friend) have a fundraiser I would like to submit!
That’s great! Before contacting us, check: is the person the fundraiser is for in the Netherlands? And is the fundraiser for transition related costs? Yes and yes? Then do let us know! Send us an e-mail or an Instagram DM, and we will add any fundraisers that fit these criteria to our database. <3
How do you choose which fundraisers to support?
We have a database with fundraisers that are currently ongoing. We look at several factors, such as recent activity on the fundraiser, and amount of money needed. We try to finish as many fundraisers as we can, as it’s often the last bit of the crowdfunding that is hardest to achieve.
Can I support in other ways than through Donorbox?
Please be aware that Donorbox is our preferred method of donation, as it keeps our transaction and administration costs low. If this is inaccessible to you, but you would like to make a regular donation to us, please contact us via e-mail or Instagram DM and we will try to find a way.
What is your overhead as an organisation?
We do our utter best to keep our overhead as low as possible. Our board members do not receive any compensation for their work on DGWWFT beyond compensation of costs. For our first year as a registered ‘stichting’, we received some funding from COC’s Respect2Love fund to cover the notary and administrative costs for our registration and daily running. We are always on the lookout for further funding and sponsoring for our (very small) overhead, so that we can continue to spend all our donations on crowdfunding. At the end of our first financial year we will be able to give exact numbers. If you are interested in supporting us in our running costs, please contact us via e-mail or Instagram DM!
